Thankfully, the weather pattern in continental US has shifted to a fall


pattern where cold fronts regularly push eastward.

Doesn't eliminate east coast landfall storms, but significantly reduces those chances.
Now the Gulf Coast is another story. The ones that slip through are generally the ones on a more southerly track, and end up in the Gulf of Mexico.
